Coloring Inspiration:
Since this is a pumpkin, my coloring inspiration was… well… pumpkins! To compliment the pumpkin colors, I also added some blues from a photo of dew drops on grass. I found these pictures on Pixabay which is a great place to find free reference photos.
I think the warm oranges, reds, creams, and chocolate brown colors in the pumpkin photo make a great contrast to the shades of blue greens from the 2nd photo.
Of course, these colors are just one color combination. The best part about coloring is that you can use any color combination you’d like! Who says a pumpkin has to be orange. Pumpkins and other gourds can came in other colors such as green, yellow, or even white.
